Mike has more than 35 years experience in the electrical engineering and construction fields. He is licensed in six states and a graduate of Arizona State University. Much of his career has been spent as a consulting design engineer, but he also held positions as a project engineer and operations manager for electrical construction companies. He was a senior electrical plant engineer in an aerospace company and he founded Power Quality Engineering (PQE) where he co-developed a patent in power electronics.

Mike also led the electrical engineering staff for Carlson Associates in the Western U.S., where he was involved in the design and construction for numerous data centers across the country. He is trained in cost estimating, as well as, the CWA process and is knowledgeable in value engineering methodology. As president of PQE, Mike directed testing, trouble-shooting and resolutions as related to power quality problems at mission-critical facilities, specializing in medical imaging systems for hospitals throughout the United States.

He has been engineer of record at state-of-the-art laboratories for biotech and alternative energy fields in Arizona (IGC/TGen), California (Orange County Coroners) and Colorado (NREL). Mr. Pearson continues to devote a substantial portion of his career to studying the relationships between analog power and solid state electronics, with emphasis on transient phenomena.

As an electrical engineer for Genelco, Mike assists client’s data centers to perform at the maximum level, both technically and financially, for years to come.
