The project coordinator position for our testing division will focus on verification of mission critical mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) equipment which has purchased by our clients. These components require testing and commissioning to detect and avert potential catastrophic failures after an owner's occupation of a new building or their occupation of a build-out to their existing site which is already operational.
You primary responsibility will be to support the Director of Cx Testing who is responsible for the Testing Division. Your secondary responsibility will be to support the Genelco Commissioning Team project coordinators.
The successful candidate will manage projects related to data center and other sensitive critical equipment projects that require testing personnel scheduling and test equipment coordination, including delivery to out of state locations and travel throughout the United States for testing personnel.
Duties will also include client communication, such as conference calls, general contractor communications and scheduling. Other essential duties include the creation or execution of request for proposals, quotations, contracts, change orders, purchase orders for vendors & suppliers and RFI's. This position is also responsible for obtaining and managing documentation such as permit drawings, shop drawings, specifications and commissioning (Cx) plans, coordination studies, breaker testing, switchgear and related electrical equipment high pot testing and equipment operation scripts detailing work activities for owner approval and other related duties.
Prior testing experience with mission critical electrical and mechanical components & systems is desired. Our commissioning process is part of the final phase of new building construction or infrastructure upgrades. Prior project management experience is required.
